First Selectman Peter Tesei met with Town Department Heads this morning to plan for the impending snow storm. Tesei says all Town personnel and equipment is ready and prepared.
“The Town of Greenwich is requesting that motorists remain off the local roads for at least eight hours after the snow fall ends in order to allow crews to safely clear the roads,” said Tesei in a press release. “We encourage residents who have cars parked on designated snow emergency routes to proactively relocate their cars in the event a snow emergency is declared. Off-street municipally owned parking lots can be used for parking vehicles displaced from Snow Emergency routes.”
The Town has several warming facilities, but they will not open until they are needed. The Town’s website www.greenwichct.org will be updated if/when the shelters open up.
