Katie Kilroy of Kids in Crisis visited McArdle’s Florist & Garden Center in Greenwich to accept a donation of $3,330 from James McArdle of McArdle’s and Tammi Ketler of TMK Sports & Entertainment, producer of the 7th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop Presented by Citizens Bank and the 7th Annual Greenwich Holiday Stroll Weekend. During the Holiday Stroll Weekend on Dec. 5 and 6, $5 from every photo with Santa and $5 from every wreath purchased at McArdle’s was donated to Kids in Crisis.

There are more opportunities to support Kids in Crisis during the remainder of the Greenwich Reindeer Festival which continues through December 24. McArdle’s is selling Kids in Crisis Holiday Belgian chocolates sourced from sustainable cocoa. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Kids in Crisis. Located in Cos Cob, Kids in Crisis is Connecticut’s only free, round-the-clock agency providing emergency shelter, crisis counseling and community educational programs for children of all ages and families dealing with a wide range of crises – domestic violence, mental health and family problems, substance abuse, economic difficulties and more. Since its founding in 1978, Kids in Crisis has helped more than 132,000 Connecticut children and families; last year, over 6,184 children and families received assistance from the organization. More information about the programs and services offered by Kids in Crisis can be found at kidsincrisis.org.
