Town of Greenwich to Offer Indoor Field Hockey Clinics

The Department of Parks and Recreation will be starting indoor field hockey clinics on Sunday mornings at the Western Greenwich Civic Center.

The classes will start on Jan. 10 and go every Sunday until Feb. 7. There will also be a clinic on Feb. 21.

Children in first and second grade will meet from 10 to 11 a.m., and children in third through fifth grades will meet from 11 to noon.

The program will help the players develop skills in stick work, passing, receiving, shooting, basic offensive and defensive skills and small sided games. The cost for the six sessions is $100.

Mollie Crudden will be instructing the program. Mollie Played for Columbia University from 2003 to 2005. Crudden also is the assistant director of the Town of Greenwich fall field hockey program.
