The YWCA Greenwich once again hosted its annual Aquatics Hall of Fame luncheon back on Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.

The popular event, with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal in attendance, honors outstanding swimmers, divers, water polo players, coaches and volunteers whose accomplishments have enriched the lives of many in the Greenwich community.

Famed YWCA Dolphins Swim Team Head Coach Nick Cavataro hosted the festivities.

The Class of 2015 Inductees were Bob DeAngelo, Helen Meany Gravis (posthumous), Diana Robinson and Scott Shepard.

The 2014 Walter Rothenheber Memorial Swimmers of the Year were Alexandra Walsh and Alex Jahan, while the 2015 Honorees were Kate Hazlett and Edward Moss.

The 2014 Divers of the Year were Ines Villemure and Jeff Aselin, while the 2015 Honorees were Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Andrew Bologna.

The 2015 Tim Nesvig Memorial Water Polo Players of the Year were Paige Neary and Matthew Fraser.

“The YWCA has long been a strong supporter of swimming in Greenwich,” said Adrianne Singer, YWCA President and CEO. “We’re very proud of the great success of Nick Cavataro and the Dolphins swim team, which is excellence-rated in the top four percent of U.S.A. swim teams. We are equally proud of our swim school, where we have taught thousands to enjoy this wonderful sport.”
