The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that registration for indoor baseball will begin online for Greenwich residents only on Nov. 12. To register online go to Greenwichct/webtrac and select Activity Registration.

Mail-in registration begins Nov. 16. Mail-in registration should not be postmarked earlier than Nov. 16. In-person registration begins on Nov. 30 and registration will remain open until the program is filled.

Space is limited and registration is first come, first serve. Residents must provide proof of residency if not yet provided this year.

The indoor baseball clinic will take place at the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, located on Harding Road in Old Greenwich on Saturday mornings. The program is available for ages seven through 10. Those who will be turning 7- or 8-years-old will meet from 9 to 10 a.m., while nine- and 10-year-olds will meet from 10 to 11 a.m.

Anyone turning 11 prior to April 30, 2016 is not eligible to participate.

Returning baseball director, Rob Kach and instructors will teach key fundamentals including specific skills, drills and game playing. This is a great clinic to enhance baseball skills and interest in the game, as well as prepare participants for spring and/or summer baseball.

Indoor baseball starts Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 and continues until March 5, with a built-in snow date of March 19.

Registration forms are available in the Recreation Office located at Town Hall and online at Greenwichct.org. Click on Parks and Recreation and then youth programs under Recreation.
