A 15 year old female foreign exchange student told Greenwich Police she was followed this past Sunday on East Putnam Avenue.
According to police, at about 9:30 Sunday morning, the student was out walking when she was stopped by a man in a silver Volvo four different times. He asked for the girl’s name and phone number each time he stopped.
Police say the car is registered to a man in Harrison, N.Y. The owner of the car was located and a person matching a description given by the girl was interviewed.
Police say they will continue to investigate. They also say the girl was not overly threatened by the encounter, but did think it was very strange. Police remind everyone to be watchful and remind children about stranger danger.
