“The outcome of local elections are what really impact people’s daily lives,” said Sheila Mehta, a volunteer with the League of Women Voters Greenwich.

With Election Day in town less than a month away, the League of Women Voters has a few things they want voters remember.
“Election Day is November 3rd and polls are open from 6 am to 8 pm. In Greenwich, we have twelve polling places which depend on the district that you live,” are said Jara Burnett, Director/Voter Services/Debates for the League of Women Voters. “If you are not sure where you should vote, you can visit www.greenwichct.org and you can find voting information on the left hand side of the website.”
“Local elections tend to get put on the back burner and people don’t find them exciting but what really impacts your daily life are your local elections,” said Mehta. “They are people who determine property taxes, money that goes to educations, snow removal, the list is endless. It is really important that people vote in their local elections.”
