St. Lawrence Society will honor Greenwich native and veteran Samuel T. Telerico at the Society’s 28th Annual Columbus Day Dinner on Oct. 12.

Samuel Telerico has committed countless hours to the community through his service in the US Army Reserve, on the Board of Directors at the United Way of Greenwich, as Financial Chairman of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, as President of The Hill House Corporation and to this day a Town Meeting representative. His family has been part of the Greenwich community for over 100 years and was one of the founding families of the St. Lawrence Society.

The St. Lawrence Society is a local non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community in a way that also brings the community together – through fun events, from the club’s annual Breakfast with Santa to rock ‘n’ roll concerts. Proceeds from these events go directly to local charities, such as Kids in Crisis, Greenwich

Senior Center, and the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Campership Fund.

The day’s festivities begin at 9 a.m. with the honoree raising the Italian flag at Greenwich Town Hall followed by a reception at the St. Lawrence Club with coffee and refreshments. There will be a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner.

The St. Lawrence Society is located at 86 Valley Road, Cos Cob. Tickets are $90 for members and $100 for non-members.
