Open Arts Alliance Kicks Off Season with Improvisation Class

improv-class

Open Arts Alliance, a professional non-profit theatre company, is partnering with The River House Adult Day Center to offer improvisation classes to members. The class will be a fun, user-friendly and creative way of exploring the wonderful world of improvisation. Through fun theatre games and warm-ups, members of the group will learn different improve scenes and techniques in a supportive and welcoming environment. Improv is a great way to express oneself, stretch creativity and exercise minds and body.

Open Arts Alliance is a professional non-profit theatre company dedicated to creating, developing and producing plays and musicals that tour health care facilities, schools and community centers. The arts agency strives to make professional theatre accessible to traditionally underserved communities. In OAA’s first season over 1,000 patrons enjoyed performances of their touring productions of “A Christmas Carol” and “The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe” at local adult day centers, rehabilitation facilities and educational community centers.

Class sessions meet Fridays in October and November from 11 a.m. to noon at The River House Adult Day Center, 125 River Road Extension, Cos Cob.
