While New York Fashion Week winds down in Big Apple, this fall hottest fashions made their way

down the runway on Greenwich Avenue Wednesday night.
“Fashion on the Avenue is a great way to participate in Fashion Week here in Greenwich, because we know how hard it is to even get into one of those big shows,” said Geri Corrigan, Founder of Greenwich Fashion on the Avenue and M.C for the evening.
“We have the best of everything here in Greenwich on the Avenue and tonight we are showcasing it to our community.”
The 5th Annual Greenwich Fashion on the Avenue turned the avenue into a high fashion catwalk,
where members of the community were the stars of the show.
Greenwich High School sophomore and first time model Molly Spaeth hit the runway in a look from Second Time Around.
“Since it is almost fall, I think it’s like eight days until the first day of fall so this is the perfect way to start off the fall season and getting everyone ready.”
“I think it’s great! I think it’s a great way to showcase local vendors around here without having to get into
the City and compete with all of the craziness there. It’s awesome and I try to support local businesses here,” said first time model Kelly Phelps, walking for Jea Jea Sport.
And while it certainly did not feel like fall with summer like temperatures, the models strut their stuff down the runway in several styles from comfy casual to clothes fit for a night out on the town.
There were even fashions for our furry friends. Wassily Barkman, a crowd favorite, had his chance on the runway,
sporting several styles from Raleigh & Co.
“I always love fall fashion. There is just something about it. It’s exciting after the summer, once it starts to get a little bit cooler you break out the boots and you get ready to wear your fall clothes,” said Corrigan.
Members of the Greenwich EMT, Police and Fire Departments also had some fun on the runway,
wearing shirts by local designer Lauren DiNardo, creator of Keep it Badass.
“This year we opened the fashion show up to designers who may not have a shop open on the Avenue
but are local designers trying to get their businesses started,” said Corrigan.
