Inside Chelsea Piers in Stamford is Greenwich resident and squash profesional Natalie Grangier.

“The goal is to basically maneuver your opponent at a rapid pace while you try to stay in the central position as much as possible,” said Grainger.

Grainger just got back form the 2015 Pan American Games in Canada with not one, but two gold medals. She placed at the top of the podium in women’s doubles and women’s team competition, and she says these medals are extra special to her.

“It meant a lot to me,” said Grainger.

The gold medalist was team mates with Amanda Sobhy who is her former pupil, and Olivia Blatchford who coaches and trains with Grainger at Chelsea Piers.

“It’s been awesome to see them transition from little girls to full grown women who are competing around the world and doing exceptionally well,” said Grainger.

Grainger says the 2015 Pan Am Games might be her last international competition, but she has many amazing memories to look back on.

“You walk into the stadium with the team. There are thousands of people, the place is packed. Cameras are flashing, they are all screaming and cheering. It’s incredible,” said Grainger.
