The Perry L. Burns Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at the Round Hill Club, on Monday, Sept. 21. The Greenwich Council, Boy Scouts of America will be sponsoring this annual event.

While this is the 29th annual golf tournament for Greenwich Scouting, the event was recently renamed in honor of longtime tournament chair and Scouting supporter Perry L. Burns. Burns, who was a Greenwich Council Board member for the last two decades, combined his passion for golf and Scouting to successfully co-chair the tournament for 20 years, helping to raise over two million for local youth and Scouting programs.

The Greenwich Council, Boy Scouts of America is comprised of over 250 volunteers who serve nearly 2,000 local boys and girls each year. Greenwich youth enjoy and learn from adventures through Scouting programs, attend Camp Seton Summer Camp, contribute to local community service projects and focus on leadership.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and will include brunch, golf and dinner.

Non-golfers are also welcome to attend for cocktails on the veranda, dinner, and a silent and live auction. All auction items are available online for bidding. Proceeds of the tournament benefit the youth and operations of Greenwich Scouting.

You can support the Boy Scouts by playing in the golf tournament, sponsoring Scouting equipment, uniforms and camp scholarships, or by making a donation to the Golf Tournament auction.
