Greenwich Community Gardens (GCG) will be holding a Garden Tour on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Armstrong Court Community Garden.

This garden contains 140 4 feet by 8 feet garden plots, pergola sitting area, native gardens, pizza oven and a new greenhouse. The garden plots are in full bloom and present a riot of color, shapes and sizes as individual as each of its gardeners.

GCG members will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on how to acquire your own garden plot for next season. Refreshments will be served. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Armstrong Court Community Garden is located at Armstrong Court off Hamilton Avenue. Follow the yellow brick road past the playground to the garden. All Greenwich residents are welcome.

Visit Greenwichcommunitygardens.org to determine if rain date is in effect.

Greenwich Community Gardens is a 501c3 non-profit organization providing residents of Greenwich an opportunity to grow their own healthy, organic vegetables, herbs and flowers in two locations, as well as providing Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry with hundreds of pounds of fresh local vegetables every year.
