Have you ever seen a down tree while driving around Greenwich? Or noticed a broken bench at one of the parks and wanted to report it? Well, now there’s an app for that.

“Today, we are pleased to announce the pilot launch of Access Greenwich,” said Peter Tesei.

Access Greenwich is a free mobile app for Apple and Android users that allows residents to report problems with a specific location and a photo.

“Residents can already phone in issues, they can mail in issues, they can come in and talk to staff. This is another means to do that,” said Senior Management Analyst Melissa Jones.

And if you don’t own a smart phone, no problem. Residents can report problems through the Town’s website by clicking “report an issue” on the upper right hand side of the Parks and Recreation homepage.

“We can see what issues people are submitting. If there is one issue area that is getting constantly submitted, we will know that maybe that’s something to take a look at,” said Jones.

This is a five month pilot for the Parks and Recreation Department.

“We are still seeking feedback looking for any input people have,” said Jones.

First Selectman Peter Tesei says ideally this app will be available for all Town departments in the future.
