There are plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy the summer weather this weekend in Greenwich.

On Saturday July 25 get out to the Greenwich Polo Grounds to cheer on teams in the 8th Annual Wiffle Ball tournament. Sign-ins begin at 8 am sharp and the top team will go home with $1600.

The beaches of Greenwich Point will be transformed into artwork on Saturday for the popular Sandblast! Sand Sculpture Festival. The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation and the Arts Council encourage participants to build a fun and creative sand castle. There is no theme for the sculptures and the day begins at 12:30.

“It really is a great family event. We encourage everybody in Greenwich to come on down to Greenwich Point and build their own sand sculpture,” said Paul Master-Karnik, the Executive Director of the Greenwich Arts Council.

And on Sunday the 26th, end your weekend at Binney Park for the Sunday Night Concerts series. The Sound Beach Community Band will play at 7:00 and the event is free.
