obp5[1]After months of rehearsal, local theatres are finally ready to unveil their summer performances. Here are two upcoming local theatre performances for the whole family to enjoy.

One of the most beloved musicals of our time, “Annie” will be performed by the Random Farms Kids Theatre at the Tarrytown Music Hall on July 24-August 1. The production will feature more than 100 performers from all over the Fairfield area, and four of the performers are from Greenwich. This year’s performance of “Annie” will mark the 20th anniversary of the Random Farms Kids Theatre Company. With songs and a story that we all know and love, “Annie” is a treat for the whole family. Tickets are $16 for children, $18 for adults and $23 for premium seats, located front and center directly behind the orchestra. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at randomfarms.com/tickets.

Later this summer, playing on August 5-8, the Off-Beat Players Inc. (OBP) is performing the smash hit musical “Bye Bye Birdie” at the Arch Street Teen Center. The OBP is a Greenwich theatre company for teen and young adult performers. Every year, around 40 young performers come together for the summer to produce a fully staged musical. With popular songs by Charles Strouse, with lyrics by Lee Adams, “Bye Bye Birdie” is sure to delight and showcase the broad local talent found in Greenwich.
