Models wearing the latest fall fashions will be taking over Greenwich Avenue on Sept. 10 for the fifth annual Fashion on the Ave.
“Every year, we have between 50 and 80 models. We will have outdoor entertainment, music, dancing. We are looking forward to it kicking off the fall season,” said Geri Corrigan, an organizer of the event.
This year the runway will be moved up between Elm Street and Havemeyer Place. Organizers say Fashion on the Avenue is an event that brings the whole community together.
“It’s really about the family, it’s not just about women walking the runway. There’s all ages- children, men, adults. It’s really everyone coming out for a great evening,” said Corrigan.
