Greenwich Animal Control received a pleasant surprise on Tuesday- Needs Clearing House presented the Town owned facility with a $500 gift card to Pet Pantry.

“It goes to extra items for the animals, things that are a little bit outside of our budget. Toys for social stimulation, just to het them to feel like a dog or a cat and be out of a cage for a little while,” said Animal Control Officer Suzanne Carlin.

There are about 10 dogs, 20 cats, and a bunny available for adoption, and officials say these kinds of donations help make the transition from shelter to home an easier one.
