64 children walked through a stream of bubbles to a cheering crowd of family and friends at the 2015 Family Centers Head Start Preschools graduation.

“35 of the students are going off to kindergarten, and the rest will be here for one more year,” said Megan Sweeney, the Director of Early Care and Education.

Megan Sweeney of Family Centers says parents are so excited on this day because they are so invested in each child’s preschool experience.

“They participate in volunteer opportunities, in our policy committee, volunteering in the classroom, taking English lessons, all kinds of things. It’s really a family affair,” said Sweeney,

And it’s also a community affair. Morgan Stanley sent volunteers to help make this day special for the littlest grads.

“They were able to donate a book to each child to take home to continue to read with their parents because we want children to continue to read throughout the summer,”s aid Jennifer Flatow, the Director of Community Engagement.

TheHead Start program has four classes. For more information, visit www.familycenters.org.
