Billy and the Showmen to Perform at Concert Series

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces Billy and the Showmen will be performing in the Dept. of Parks and Recreation Wednesday Night Concert Series.

The Greenwich Police Silver Shield will sponsor this concert.

It will take place at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on Wed., July 8 and if it rains, the concert will be held on Thurs., July 9.

Billy and the Showmen is a 10 piece R&B Band based out of Greenwich that have thrilled audiences for over 40 years performing throughout the Northeast Region and New York City.

During the 70’s and 80’s they had double-duty as the back up band for The Chiffons and most recently became the band behind Billy Vera during his East Coast performance at Live at Five in Stamford and seen on VH-1.

If you like Motown and “Soul” music performed by a full rhythm section and driven by a horn section, catch Billy and the Showmen at their next performance, July 8 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park at 7:15 p.m.

Roger Sherman Baldwin Park is located on Arch Street by the Teen Center, and Island Beach Ferry Dock.
