Town of Greenwich Hosting Summer Skate Park Ramp Camp

The Department of Parks and Recreation will kick off its summer Skate Park Ramp Camps program today.

The ramp camp is for skateboarders between the ages of six and 14. Weekly sessions are the weeks of June 22-25, June 29 – July 2, July 6-9, Aug. 10-13 and Aug. 17-20.

During the camp, the skaters will learn new tricks, play games and skate on the unique park. The program runs weekly from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, with a rain date on Fridays.

The cost for the weekly ramp camp program is $199 for non-members and $145 for members.

There are also Pee-Wee Clinics for skateboarders six- to 10-years-old that run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with a rain date on Friday.

Those weekly clinics will meet the weeks of July 13-16, July 20-23, July 27–30, and Aug. 3-6. The cost for the Pee-Wee Clinics are $95 for non-members and $65 for members.

The skate park has an experienced, fully trained staff that is friendly, helpful and can help your child learn how to skate or improve their skills.
