Today at Tamarack Country Club the YMCA of Greenwich held their 21 annual golf event. One hundred and twenty eight golfers entered into the Lou Ferraro Golf Classic where all the funds raised went directly back to the YMCA. The day included lunch, full rounds of golf, awards, dinner and live and silent auctions. Players set out on the course in foursomes to show their support and to give back to the community. YMCA of Greenwich CEO, Ed Philipp, partook in the days events.

“Today is our 21 annual golf outing, it’s in memory of Lou Ferraro who was a great member of the Y and a citizen of Greenwich. So we’re out here honoring him and rising money for the Y,” said Ed Philipp.

The golf event is on track to raise roughly $100,000 which will help the YMCA give back to the community.

“The YMCA of Greenwich gave out over $400,000 of finical aid last year to families in need and we’re probably going to give out $500,000 this year. It’s events like this that allow us to help the community and give back. It’s just great to see all of the support today,” said Ed Philipp.
