Sally Duval has been training for a 100 mile run this summer, but this Sunday
instead of her usual routes, she is going to run from Ground Zero in New York
all the way to the construction site of the 9/11 Memorial in Cos Cob Park.

“I just want to continue to raise awareness for the project here. We’ve put in a
lot of long hours,” said Duval.

Duval is on the board of the Memorial Fund, and this is close to her heart because
she lost her brother in the attacks on 9/11. She says her family members will be
there cheering her on, and even completing part of Sunday’s run with her.

“Some of my friends who live in Manhattan are going to run the miles in Manhattan
with me at different parts. A college room mate is going to run with me in Larchmont.
I’m hoping a few cousins are going to run in Rye with me. The majority of supporters
are going to run in Greenwich at some point to the finish line,” said Duval.

Runners can join her at anytime throughout the race, and you can cheer her on as she
arrives in Cos Cob Park around noon on Sunday.
