In total, 12 individual athletes and two undefeated teams have just been inducted into the Greenwich High School Hall of Fame for their accomplishments during their time with Big Red.

“It’s an incredible honor. One memory is our county championship on Thanksgiving Day. We were down and I ended up scoring,” said Ken Bell who graduated in 1981 and played football and track & field.

“These things don’t come around very often and they don’t come around for very many people. I respect the people, I respect the process,” said Jeff Stiling, a 1978 graduate and swam.

New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin was the evening’s guest speaker and has a special connection to one of the inductees.

“I was on Mike Ornato’s first team when he came to Waterloo, New York. He was my head football coach for three years. He’s a tremendous coach, we had great fun. We won and we were league champions,” said Coughlin,

This was the second year of the event. For more information, visit GHShalloffame.com.
