The YWCA of Greenwich is offering year-round baseball and softball training with a top-notch instructor.

Chief Instructor Mike Parisi, former St. Louis Cardinals right-hander, will lead the YWCA Greenwich baseball and softball year-round training and offer a major league learning experience that can teach boys and girls ages eight- through 16-years-old everything they need to win, like he’s done with hundreds of others.

And Parisi has all the tools, as the Greenwich YWCA has Greenwich’s only pitching machine and batting cage system.

The cage is 60 feet  long, 18 feet wide and 15 feet high. The pitching machine can throw fastballs at speeds up to 95 mph, curves, sliders, change-ups, sinkers and practice ground balls. Bats and helmets are available, as well as a strength and conditioning center.

Private and small group (up to four) batting and pitching lessons are available for 30 or 60 minutes. Customized group of five or more, as well as team workouts, can be conveniently scheduled to meet your schedule.

Practice makes perfect, especially when it’s taught by a major-leaguer. To get more information and register for time, contact Kyle Wirtz at 2013-869-6501, ext. 131 or k.wirtz@ywcagreenwich.org.
