The star studded Greenwich International Film Festival will be
taking over downtown in just over two weeks.

“We have programmed 31 films- documentary, narrative, shorts, and
features. 13 countries are represented, so that’s very exciting.
It really highlights the international part of the festival,” said
Director of Programming Colleen deVeer.

The festival will begin with a special advanced screening of the
“Entourage” movie on May 26 at Bow Tie Cinemas.

“We had the wonderful fortune of having Doug Ellin join our board,
who is the director and create of the show. He was wonderful to help
us out and work it out with Warner Brothers to get a special advanced
screening of it,” said deVeer.

GIFF begins on June 4 and will be opening with the film “All Things
Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records”.

“Everybody we k ow has some connection, some nostalgic story with
Tower Records. My second or third date with my husband was at a Tower
Records. It immediately evokes some kind of personal memory for
people,” said Wendy Stapleton Reyes, the Chairman of the Board.

There will also be panels and discussions that are free and open
to the public throughout the weekend. For more information on all
the GIFF events, or to purchase tickets, visit www.greenwichfilm.org.
